Happy Birthday William H. Macy! (March 13)
Life may not always be “Pleasantville,” but he is married to one of America’s best known “Desperate Housewives.” Does that make him a desperate husband? William H. Macy met Felicity Huffman when she was a student of his at the Atlantic Theater Company, and married her soon after. Wikipedia declares the couple’s new name: Filliam H. Muffman -- the “official” portmanteau of the couple. Macy is a truly versatile actor, having appeared in such films as “Fargo” (for which he was nominated for an Academy Award), “Seabiscuit,” “Pleasantville,” and even the controversial film “Boogie Nights,” which he was advised against starring in. Apparently it hasn’t ruined his career at all! Even the creators of “The Simpsons” have teased that he would make a perfect Ned Flanders if they ever filmed a live-action version of “The Simpsons.” Look out TomKat! You can’t shop at this Macys, but they’ve got the goods!
