She captured our hearts during season four of American Idol, and America chose her as the newest pop country star when she won the title of “American Idol.” Her sweet southern voice and shy demeanor has made fans of music lovers who enjoy almost every genre, not only country. Her upbringing on the family farm had its own virtues which even PETA applauds—Carrie refuses to eat meat because she fears eating one of her pets; she was even named “World’s Sexiest Vegetarian” by PETA in 2005. She is perhaps one of the few contestants about whom Simon Cowell has ever had more positive to say than negative; he even made several statements predicting that she would not only win the competition, but that she would go on to sell more albums than previous American Idol winners. With her graceful style and pure vocals, there’s no doubt she’ll continue singing for audiences worldwide. Her voice even has even non-country music fans turning up their radios and iPods.
