Happy Birthday Daniel Craig! (March 2)

Ladies, start drooling. Gents, stop grumbling. Despite the rumors and drama, the latest James Bond is here to stay. Blonde-haired, blue-eyed Daniel Craig was among quite a few actors who were up for the role, with Pierce Brosnan passing the torch. He is the first blonde actor to play 007, prodding some to call him “James Blonde,” and has already garnered a fan base in his native England with roles including the miniseries “Archangel,” and his portrayal of Sylvia Plath’s poet-husband Ted Hughes, opposite Gwyneth Paltrow. For those who scoff at his ability to portray James Bond, it may help to know that he’ll be portraying a colder and more youthful Bond, adapted from the first Bond novel. As cold as he may be some lucky gal will be sure to scorch the screen with Bond…James Bond.
