Life may not always be “Pleasantville,” but he is married to one of America’s best known “Desperate Housewives.” Does that make him a desperate husband? William H. Macy met Felicity Huffman when she was a student of his at the Atlantic Theater Company, and married her soon after. Wikipedia declares the couple’s new name: Filliam H. Muffman -- the “official” portmanteau of the couple. Macy is a truly versatile actor, having appeared in such films as “Fargo” (for which he was nominated for an Academy Award), “Seabiscuit,” “Pleasantville,” and even the controversial film “Boogie Nights,” which he was advised against starring in. Apparently it hasn’t ruined his career at all! Even the creators of “The Simpsons” have teased that he would make a perfect Ned Flanders if they ever filmed a live-action version of “The Simpsons.” Look out TomKat! You can’t shop at this Macys, but they’ve got the goods!

You might assume that the daughter of a girl who followed the yellow brick road and traveled “over the rainbow” would have a brilliant life full of awe and wonder, but movies rarely reflect real life. Liza Minelli’s life hasn’t always been a cabaret, but she’s well-known for her performance in the stage musical Cabaret. She’s performed several major feats in her life, including the winning of entertainment’s four highest awards--the Oscar, the Tony, The Emmy, and the Grammy. Not only that, but she and her mother were the first mother-daughter couple to each win an Oscar. Ms. Minelli. “Liza One-Note” is a hilarious song created by Forbidden Broadway, parodying Liza’s famous feat of holding out one particular note in many songs that she sings. She’s an icon in Hollywood, a reminiscent reminder of classic Hollywood, and we applaud her for that.

One of the original members of Destiny’s Child, LeToya Luckett has been singing since she was a wee little thing, and like many performers, her singing career started in the church. She met former band mate Beyonce Knowles in elementary school; however, an ugly split within Destiny’s Child shattered this childhood friendship. “For love or money”—isn’t that how the saying goes? Apparently the remaining members of Destiny’s Child chose the money. So, is it truth or paranoia that the lyrics to the song “Survivor” reflect on LeToya’s barring from the group? Still, Luckett’s luck hasn’t run out. She’s working on a solo album which should be released shortly. In the meantime you can find fancy digs at her clothing boutique, “Lady Elle,” located in the Houston-Galleria area. Destiny sure hasn’t given up on this child.

She captured our hearts during season four of American Idol, and America chose her as the newest pop country star when she won the title of “American Idol.” Her sweet southern voice and shy demeanor has made fans of music lovers who enjoy almost every genre, not only country. Her upbringing on the family farm had its own virtues which even PETA applauds—Carrie refuses to eat meat because she fears eating one of her pets; she was even named “World’s Sexiest Vegetarian” by PETA in 2005. She is perhaps one of the few contestants about whom Simon Cowell has ever had more positive to say than negative; he even made several statements predicting that she would not only win the competition, but that she would go on to sell more albums than previous American Idol winners. With her graceful style and pure vocals, there’s no doubt she’ll continue singing for audiences worldwide. Her voice even has even non-country music fans turning up their radios and iPods.

Ladies, start drooling. Gents, stop grumbling. Despite the rumors and drama, the latest James Bond is here to stay. Blonde-haired, blue-eyed Daniel Craig was among quite a few actors who were up for the role, with Pierce Brosnan passing the torch. He is the first blonde actor to play 007, prodding some to call him “James Blonde,” and has already garnered a fan base in his native England with roles including the miniseries “Archangel,” and his portrayal of Sylvia Plath’s poet-husband Ted Hughes, opposite Gwyneth Paltrow. For those who scoff at his ability to portray James Bond, it may help to know that he’ll be portraying a colder and more youthful Bond, adapted from the first Bond novel. As cold as he may be some lucky gal will be sure to scorch the screen with Bond…James Bond.

How many of us used to squeal when we heard the lyrics “It’s all right ‘cause I’m saved by the bell,” and got dreamy-eyed when prankster “Zack Morris” got into his regular antics? Who would have thought that this same mischievous wild child (at least he played one on television) would grow up to play a cop on police drama “N.Y.P.D. Blue”? (That seems to be a rite-of-passage, since former child actor Rick Schroder also played a cop on “Blue.”) So where did this heartthrob get his studly looks from? His parents are Dutch and Indonesian; makes you wonder if Mark-Paul wooed his wife in the Dutch tongue? With one child and another on the way, let’s hope his kids won’t give him a taste of prankster antics like those he dished out regularly on “Saved by the Bell.”

If you’re a fan of the stage you’ve probably heard of Bernadette Peters. Even if you’re not a fan of musicals you’ve probably seen her. This curly-haired woman may be petite but her voice is mega-sized! Her vocals and personality can adapt to so many scenarios, it’s no wonder she holds the title of being the youngest performer to be inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame. She’s performed in such theatricals as Into the Woods, Gypsy,” and Sunday in the Park with George. You haven’t lived until you’ve heard her duet with “Dukes of Hazzard” star Tom Wopat, singing “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better,” from the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun. And who can forget her lively bantering with Steve Martin in the hilarious film “The Jerk”? If you still can’t place her face, think back to the early 80’s when she starred in cahoots with Miss Hannigan as Rooster’s girlfriend, Lily, in the film “Annie.” A word of practical advice from Berndette: “You've gotta be original, because if you're like someone else, what do they need you for?”

Beautiful. Italian. Bombshell. What more do you need to say about Sophia? Plenty. She came from nothing and evolved into one of the most celebrated actresses in the world. Her style was legendary (oversized sunglasses were her signature accessory--Nicole Ritchie and Paris Hilton would be wearing aviators if it wasn't for Sophia's 1960's swinging style), she was named as one of the most beautiful women in the world and who could forget her as Isabella de la Fontaine in Robert Altman's 1994 fashion insider tale, Pret-a-Porter?
